Sorry for this simple question.

Last time my boat was unrigged the shackle was disconnected from the mainsheet block rather than the traveller. I don't know if it takes a special shackle or not, however, now I can't connect the shackle to the block. The pin from the block doesn't seem to extend far enough to permit the shackle to be repined .
Possibly the person that unrigged it replaced the original shackle with another, it certainly looks small enough, same size pin as the one on the traveller.

Again sorry for such a simple question...

There should be no shackle between the block and traveler. Should pin directly to the car.

Isn't there is a U shaped bracket that goes between the traveler car and the block?Image

Same traveler car we use on the Hobie 16 and the block pins directly to the car.

The blocks come with shackles, but I wouldn't use them.

Thank you for your replies.

Mr Miller, I tried your suggestion and it works very well. Again, thank you for taking the time to respond.
