Dolly for PA

I have two Wheeleez 19" (49 cm) beach tires that I have used with a previous kayak. They have a 1" bearing. I would like to use them on the PA dolly. My question is: If I order the dolly with the tuff wheels, can I interchange the beach tires? What is the diameter of the axle on the dolly?

not sure what your axle diameter is... the original dolly axle is about the size of my little finger. I bought two of the HOBIE dollies with the thin tires, pulled the tires off one and replaced axle with longer SS rod. Put on those fat plastic tires from kid's jeep. Replaced OTHER axle with longer SS rod and put both sets of the thin Hobie tires on that dolly frame. Now have two sets of dollies with larger surface area for tires.

I'm looking to do something similar with the larger wheels from Wheeleez. I have the standard Hobie cart with the 24cm tires. That's what Wheeleez calls them. I want to put on the larger available wheels without too much fab work.

Got the the beach parking lot this last week. Got all rigged up and slid the boat off my trailer and realized after only 5 feet in the sand I was an idiot, and proceeded to put the boat back on the trailer. There was NO WAY I was going to make it down to the surf edge pulling the PA14 by myself.

Does anyone know which larger wheels will slip right on and work, or if there is a axle replacement needed?

Or if I do all of this, will the transporting in the sand problem be much easier? I hate to spend the money on the larger wheel setup and then find out they still won't roll very well across the sand.
