I have a couple of broken wing post caps on my 2000 Hobie 21SC. My dealer is out of them and he says they have been discontinued. Where can I find replacements? Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced altenative? The Hobie price, even when available, seems excessive for a part that breaks every few years.

Thanks,
gvansickle

What is this part? Is this the leg end cap? #35081001 ?

This is a limited availability part that is machined by hand now that the boat is out of production and has been in limited production for many years.

This is a cap that should never fail. Perhaps water froze in the leg and popped it out?

We appear to have this part in factory stock. If this is the correct part, place an order and we can get it shipped.

Ok, my dealer is now telling me they are available, just not in stock. I will say, however, that these are a molded plastic part that does fail, in my experience, every few years. Your comment makes me think you have a machined metal end cap for the wing leg?

The parts are plastic. What fails?
