I have a http://www.photobucket.com account. I upload my pictures to there and then I copy the image tag from photobucket. I paste the copied image tag in my post:

Can I insert pictures that are saved on my computer? I keep trying to copy and paste them but that doesn't work.

no, you need to host the picture at a 3rd party site like photobucket. It would be nice if Hobie Forums allowed pictures to be uploaded. This would make the posting process easier and pictures would be here as long as the forum hosted them. One frustration I have is looking at post that no longer have pictures because folks delete them from their hosting website.

We don't host files on our server due to server security and liability concerns.

Newbie here, I am writing my first post, actually this is my first port, and in the draft mode my picture post looks like a box with the word image in it, it does not display the picture . The image I used was posted in a reply as a test image, http://media.twango.com/m1/large/0004/d ... cff9ec.jpg Should I see my picture in the draft mode preview area?

Jim
the link is dead. check that first.
I'm in San Mateo. Your not too far away. Do you have a Wave? I'd love to sail with another wave some day. I'm headed out his afternoon (sunday april 26th)
your image tag should look like this:
[mg]http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a276/tradisrad/triple3.jpg[/img]
I removed an "i" in the first [img] so the link can be seen
