Anybody know of a kayak fishing club in the central west coast area of Florida?
All my fishing experience has been up in Alaska where most of the fish will bite at pretty much anything short of a plain hook.
So, I'm looking for a group to get with and learn from for when I do get my OB. Besides, it's always more fun with other people, much safer to.

Yep, Shep,
Here ya go--a couple of links to a group (CFKA--Central Florida Kayak Anglers, Tampa Bay Chapter) that some of my friends belong to down your way. Check 'em out: monthly meetings, fishing get-togethers, etc.

Yer welcome! When you hook up with them, say hello to Terri for me. She is not only a great lady, but is also a Hobie Mirage driver par excellence--previously an Outback owner, now a happy Revolution rider, plus she is a hard core fisher and knows the waters down there backwards and forwards.

Will do!
That's what I need, I'm just so lost when it comes to all this stuff about casting TOWARDS land and actually trying to outsmart a fish. The second part is what's really going to give me trouble.
