Are any Hobie 20 sailors planning on racing June 2nd and 3rd at Alameda? I just spoke to Greg Thomas who said he is going to try to make a warm up trip up that way on a 16.

If anyone is interested in practice starts Friday the 25th in Alameda. If we can get 10 or so 16, and 20's I'd be happy to set a course run you through a bunch of start sequences. I'll charge for gas to get there and for the Surf City Skiff. Spread the word and contact me directly. We did this several times this winter and it worked out pretty well.

I think Greg was under the impression that there was a race scheduled that weekend. Did I miss the date?

I was planning to make the trip north, but I have been called out of town on work related stuff. Too bad, it's such a fun place to sail.

There is the Round TI regatta on the weekend. A few people expressed interest in tuning up on the Friday before.

Hammond,

We had sixteen H20s at the Wet and Wild Regatta last weekend, so I expect we will have somewhere between fifteen and twenty H20s at Alameda June 2 and 3rd. There will probably be some sort of sailing, either practice races or a guest expert progarm on Friday, June 1 at the regatta site.

The Round TI Regatta will be a great chance to check out the venue for the North Americans at the end of that month. A notice of race for the event is posted on the HCA Division 3 website - www.hobie3.org . Preregistration always helps out the race committee.

Woops! I see where the confusion arose. I had the date wrong. I meant practice race on Fri june 1. Let me know if you want me to run starts. Thanks Jason for keeping me together!
