Im am new to the hobie family and also to the sport of kayak fishing. I absolutely love it. I recently mounted a 565 humminbird gps thru the sail mast...(no holes...) I made a T out of pvc pipe thru the scupper hole and dropped my transducer under the boat...It works pretty well...My next few tasks are mounting rod holders and now my next question...is an anchor trolley system....i really want one but want to do minimum drilling...does anyone have any ideas for this...or if any drilling only safe drilling....on top stuff...ooo yea i made a live well as well...trying to get ready to tackle the beach...well thanks...any help will be appreciated....

I haven't set up a trolley on the OB yet. Have done one on a different yak that used the bow & stern handles. I attached short pieces of bungy cord from each handle to a pulley (I used bungies for shock absorption). Ran the trolley line (cut in 2 pieces & connected with carabiners) completely around the yak.
No holes needed for that one, but the OB might need a couple J clips to keep the line from coming into the cockpit. If it does, try to use the fasteners already installed.

Not sure if I have any linkable pictures of it.

Hey,


Thank you for the valuable info. I will try the front and rear eyes on the handles. also i think i will use the side paddle holder and rod holders to secure the pulley system instead of drilling a cleat to secure the line. Id really like some sort of retrival system...to keep the line organized so...we'll see...any help would be awesome...but...thanks again guys.....
