 Post subject: Rudder castings

Thinking of spay painting my rudder castings,just to tidy them up(few scratches).Was just going to use some semi gloss spay paint.Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated

Maybe sand them a little bit and then clean them thoroughly with cotton balls and acetone before spraying. :)
