I like to think of myself as a bit of a Pirate. I guess being from Iowa, I should speak more like a farmer.
I have been to the Ocean, does that count?

Hey Dan, just curious, how did you come up with 420 as a sail number? Is there some significant reason for the number 420??

But it seems to be a theme...

I got on the first guess in Syracuse.

Do a GIS (Google Image Search) for "420" and see what comes up. (Make sure "Safe Search" is turned off.)

A friend was at a Haloween party this year and someone was dressed as a Girl Scout... from troop 420.

I know, Chris, I just had to say it. I couldn't get the picture of my Prindle 18-2 (sorry, Matt) on the forum, either. I had 420 as the sail number on that boat, but I put a small colon after the 4, so it read 4:20. Kind of stealth obnoxiousness.

Dan,

I edited your link to make it work. The forum won't display a page, so I checked the image location url and inserted that.

Thanks! At least there are some Hobies in the back ground!

If it makes you feel any better, I have more Hobies than non-Hobies.

A personal fleet? So, how many boats are in your personal fleet?

Matt,

I do a lot of parting out of boats and fixing them up to sell. I am the Commodore of my Hobie fleet and I am really trying to get beach cats back up in numbers.

I have a big back yard:

5 Hobie 14s
1 Hobie 18
2 Hobie 16s
2 Nacra 5.2s
1 Supercat 19
1 Supercat 20 tall rig

Of course, most of them are disassembled and I'm donating the Hobie 16s and 18 to Camp Seagull in NC.

I'm getting another 14 and 18 this week...

Where are you getting all those boats from?? It would be great if we could get the bay cat sailing up-A 14 series would be nice...
