Boogie-D, here's one post from the KFS site of what I think you're talking about. When you build one, let us know what you think.

We built one for a guy here. The mesh was the stuff that's used on pool covers to keep leaves out. I think the grommets were just brass #2's.

I think the name of the material is Shadecloth or something like that.

Here's a link to a site that sells it.

I do not remember where I got the black plastic match but I had to buy 1 yard that costs about $17 delivered. I think the delivery charge was most of it. I installed 6 BAC industries ADD A Tabs $6.20 that were the islets that my 6 inch bungee balls 3.99 went through. The bungee balls and ADD A Tabs I picked up at Northern tool and supply. I think my total expenses were less than $30. It was a great investment. I have more pictures if you need them.

right on glen i think you must have been the one i read about somewhere.

I do remeber northern tool in the post and the add a tabs. we have ball bungies at wal mart. so i can order the add a tabs from northern tool all i have to do is find some good mesh material. I just looked at the site above and think i will go with woven shade cloth. they will make it for me for pretty cheep it looks like

some pictures would be great. i hope to use mine mostly for fish storage. something really big i hope like a 100 plus pound sail fish. they have some big square cooler bags that would fit between akas if there was some support like the mesh platform.

glenn how much weight do you think yours holds? another question i saw one of your pics from kfs if you made your own how did you get your edges taped so nice? the rig look real good. also you mentioned a bait box and a cooler in the other post above could you post some pics of the box ren made and the set up you run. i just got the shimano live well cooler bag it works good. thanks for the help aloha Boogie-D
