After a couple of hours of sailing in medium conditions, I find that I have about a 3/4 of a gallon or more of water sloshing around from bow to stern.

Hatches are all buttoned down, drain plug is tight. Where is this water getting in, and is this more than normal? Obviously everything stored in any of the 3 hatches is totally soaked.

Is there a leak test that works on a AI?

Thanks.

Found RoadRunner's and Matt's FAQ on leak test... Thanks.

After tightening all the screws, especially those around the hatch covers, the most likely place to leak are the 8" twist-n-seal hatch covers. These must be cleaned regularly including the large rubber-like seal. A slight twist in this seal can cause considerable leakage. Once cleaned, use silicone lubricant on the hinges and rubber-like seal. DO NOT use an oil-based lubricant since this damages the seal. It is pretty easy to see if the round hatch covers are leaking. Just place the boat on level ground and spray a moderate to heavy amount of water on each hatch for a few minutes. If they leak, you will have water inside.
