Headed out this morning knowing that there was a good possibility of weather moving in. Hit an area lake I had never fished before.....I will be going back.

Had a mix of sun and clouds and managed to pick up 3 Smallies early on. For this region they were really nice size. Two were at 16-1/2" and 17" with 10-1/2" and 11" girths. after that it started getting darker and a breeze picked up. The fish started going to a very subtle hit and my partner and I both dropped a few. A temperature dropping wind and really dark clouds rolling in made our decision for us to call it a day after a few hours.

it reminds me of when I used to live in Henniker, NH, which is south of Lake Sunape if I remember, there is ski slope there to, right

I did a lot of whitewater kayaking when I lived there

Look forward to meeting you one day, or seeing you at a kayak fishing tournament

Look forward to meeting you also, Al. Been active with KFS since 2003 when I made a few trips fishing with Scott O, Brian, Artie, and some of those guys. This was the first year I have missed J-Bay and won't miss next year....
Going to be fishing the Stonington, CT tournament in a couple weeks. Are you heading over there?

Henniker has some great fishing including Contoocook River and Pat's Peak for skiing.

Roger, we have to hook up and do some hobie fishing. I've been pulling em' in on Sunapee, mostly bass and pickerell. Once I figure out how to attach photos, I'll post the pic of the nice smallie I just caught on Sunapee. I think we met at Alden in the spring, its great to see someone local on here....... happy fishing to ya..

We did meet over at the shop. I would really like to get together at least a few times this summer. Always open to fishing new places...that's the problem (if you want to call it that) up here....too many lakes, ponds, and marshes to choose from. There is another person from our NEKF forum that has posted a few times about the nice smallies. Calls himself sunapee kid.

Went down to Pawtuckaway for a few hours Saturday morning and picked up 5 LMB. Three of them were in the 3.5 to 4 pound range. Pretty nice fish. I'll post a couple pictures. This weekend I'm fishing a Striper Tourney in Stonington CT but will get with you after that see when we can meet up.
