I have the comfort wings. They come up enough that they're comfortable, but they are super easy to get in and out of the trap on. The smaller wings are more like a rail that just gets you out another foot. I haven't seen these but I don't think you'd want to sit on them for very long. My biggest complaint with the standard style wings is that you have to climb up on them then out onto the wire when tacking.
I stopped trapping out with the chute up too. It's nice with the comfort wings you can sit back where the rudders are because they extend past the rear beam and still get a bit more leverage.
