This is something that we're always hearing, it's not really paddling, not really kayaking, not really biking...So what do you call it? Miraging?

Peddle Power! TM

Just substitute the "a" in paddle with an "e" and that's what we do - imo. For example, we "peddled" to the channel and was able to hover over the hole and nail fish after fish.

Some people may not "get it" or instantly know that your on a Hobie. This is what sets us apart so we should "advertise" it whenever possible.

Except for the fact that you do not "peddle" a Mirage drive kayak unless you are SELLING Mirage drive kayaks, as in being a kayak "peddler". If you use your foot to do something, as in OPERATING the Mirage drive, or PEDALING a bicycle, then you are "pedaling" your yak, not "peddling" it. IMHO, seems like it might be a good idea for everyone to use the correct terminology so as to keep us all on the same page... Thanks. :D

After getting my new Mirage Sport wet, within 15 minutes of buying it, and paddling, pedaling, and sailing it, I would have to classify it as a blast! :D

brian,
Ain't it the truth? Seems like the Sport model has generated a lot of interest (and I assume a lot of sales!). In fact, I plan to get one for my wife as soon as I can work it out.

Brian,

Check out NCKA.ORG - and lets get some fish!

I've got some spots where only us Hobie's can go - Boiler Rocks! You gotta be able to Peddle and fish at the same time to work these rocks.

Believe it or not, there's tons of fish under the Golden Gate Bridge - do a Hobie Hover and your're right on top of a HOLE! The water moves real fast at the gate, so you gotta find the mild tides and fish either the bottom or top of the tide.

This weekend - Sturgeon! With all this rain, it floods out all the bottom pests and stirs up the food, the dino's start to actively feed.

Cya on the water
