Aledal, the email you are receiving is just to tell you to log onto the forum and look at new response(s) to your post. You do not need to answer.

Hi Aleda, Is your boat's name lettered on your Island? Come to think of it am I the only Island owner in the world with my kyak decorated with its name?...I think not but interested to know.....Pirate

Im starting to figure this stuff out. Good look with your new boat! Nope I havent put the letters on it but Im considering it. After all-I really dont consider this boat to be in the "kayak" class so a name wouldnt be inappropriate. You must be one crazy Aussie to go out down there. Have you seen a movie called "Wind" its about the Americas cup loss to Austrailia. Great sailing footage. Be safe-Jeff :D

I have a trailerable house boat/caravan that I wanted to name "Wet Dream", however my dear wife was not so keen on the name and it now bears the very respectable name "Britannia".
So guess what I'm going to call my AI??    :P :D
My old mate Pirate is going to cut the sign for me.
Yippeee :D :D

We've just completed putting her name on - as well as the yellow dodger :D
Now all I've got to do is figure out how to post pics into this forum and you can see what a great effect it has 8) :D

I reckon Mickey and I are onto something here. We got to be the first Island owners in all the World to actually put the boat's name on the boat. Can someone please let us know how to get a picture onto the forum and I will post some of our boats whilst they still look new   mmm better take the pictures tonight  :lol...Pirate

Just a guess Pirate, but if you are using Windows, you could try copying the photo to the clipboard and pasting it into the message (Ctrl-V).

When all else fails, read the FAQ:

Quote:
Can I post Images?
Images can indeed be shown in your posts. However, there is no facility at present for uploading images directly to this board. Therefore you must link to an image stored on a publicly accessible web server, e.g. http://www.some-unknown-place.net/my-picture.gif. You cannot link to pictures stored on your own PC (unless it is a publicly accessible server) nor to images stored behind authentication mechanisms such as Hotmail or Yahoo mailboxes, password-protected sites, etc. To display the image use either the BBCode [img] tag or appropriate HTML (if allowed).

I guess that is why everyone seems to be using Photobucket for their images.

If this link works this is Mickey's boat name which has been placed on the deck just in front of the front hatch.. Fingers crossed here...Captain Pirate
