How exactly should all of the shrouds and trap wires be attached at the tang on my Hobie 16?
currently my trap wires all attach to a shacle through only the top hole, and my shrouds/forestay and attached to a shackle only in the bottom hole(of the tang). My middle and larger hole is empty. The problem is that the bottom hole(with the shrouds) is stretching downward and the pin on this rather large shackle is bending. I have only had the boat a short time- and this is how the previous owner had it setup.

Thanks, Kevkev
