it's getting cold out here. Im planning to put my fx one for a winter storage. I will leave it outside, but I'm planning to take the tramp away and put some individual covers for the hulls. Now I'm wondering if i should leave the mast on too. I take the boom and spinnaker pole + rudders away, but rest I could leave if the boat will be ok... That's the question, will it? During the coldest times it might get under -30 deg. of celsius (-22F) and there is the wind and snow factor too. Please help me out here...

I wouldn't leave it up. Wind pushing things around all winter can't be all that good for things.

Leaving the mast up over the winter just adds wear and tear to the standing rigging. When I bought my boat in 2002 it was 2 years old and looked like it had the mast up 24/7 the whole time. I had to replace both shrouds, forestay, tang and connecting shackle due to excessive wear.
