I bought a 1978 H16 last year and have only about a half-dozen outings under my belt. I sent my jib away this spring to have it re-sewn (some of the batten pocket seams had come apart). In any case, I got my sail back and I'm not sure exactly how to re-tie the battens. Two of the battens have leech caps and two don't (they just have holes). What is the standard knot for tying battens in place?

Thanks,
Miles

I just posted a FAQ on batten ties.

Other than this information, simply pass the line through the holes and tie with a couple half hitches. The information in the FAQ handles the "V" jam leech caps. Main caps are shown. Jib caps have one less hole.
