Thought you might like to look at another tandem video:
http://video.aol.com/video-detail/twin- ... 1216168273

I hadn't seen this one listed on the forum...

Note the clean cut the bow makes through small waves...it appears
that there is some change to the shape of the bow. It appears to
push more of a wave away from the bow rather than lifting the splash
up.

There are a series of Hobie Tandem videos on AOL Video...do
a Hobie Tandem search to see a nice set of videos

Is this a tandem AI or Hobie Tandem with sail kit? Regardless
I like the way it cuts through waves.

Doesn't look like an AI to me. Not seeing any amas, akas or aka crossbar near the base of the mast. But it looks fun.

That is an Oasis... with two standard sail kits. Must have made his own mount up front.

Tidalwave,
Fyr is right. :)
It is a clip I posted on Google video back in January 08. I was testing the extra sail I added to my 06 Tandem (now Oasis) double kayak. I have posted about it in the Kayak Sailing forum.

Matt,
Anything more to share on the double AI?
I am eagerly awaiting its release! 8)

I have not had the chance to use an Oasis. Is the bow shape
radically different between the two models? It appears from the
video(s) that the Oasis cuts through waves noticeably cleaner
than my AI does.
If so, I wonder why the AI bow was designed to be wetter.

Looks like a wide boat with a blunt bow. Slow compared to the Adventure hull. Who wants dry when you can have FAST? ;)
