Just lost our mast in a huge storm on Lake Erie - where can I get another one?
Are they still available for sale new?
If not, can I replace it with different mast from another Hobie?

Please need your help - we were supposed to get married on our boat this weekend - but now it's not looking that way, but we still want to sail this summer.

Thanks

1. How is that gonna work?
2. How did you talk her into it?

:D

I'd bet a H20 mast would be similar dimensionally. But that's really a shot in the dark.

I actually convinced him.

Is there any way that we can buy a composite tip and fix it ourselves?

If the mast is broken in the upper section (CompTip), you can replace it and the part is still offered, but not currently shown in stock. Contact your dealer: http://www.hobiecat.com/company/dealer.html

The mast is the height of an 18, but the section / diameter of the 21SE. If the lower section has failed... we don't have replacements any longer.

There used to be a guy over on another forum that had a complete mast for sale ~$500, who lives in near Chicago if I remember right. Email me if you'd like his address.

The mast is only broken at the top - so I'm calling dealers right now - however if someone is selling a complete mast - I'll take it. Can you post or forward his email?

You'd probably be better off just changing out the comp tip. Check your email for the address on the entire mast, if you still want a spare...

Good luck

I have a 21 SC comp tip in my attic.

Geez - now you tell me! Thanks for the offer, we'll keep you in mind if it happens again. We were able to find a dealer to ship one to us in time for us to fix it and still have our wedding as planned!

Thanks to everyone for their help, especially you TC for hooking me up with the guy outside of Chicago - he's a riot and we almost drove out there to buy
his mast but it was easier to have the part shipped.

Thanks again!
