Although I have owned 3 sailboats over the years I have never owned or even sailed on a catamaran. Now that I am considering a Getaway I have been brousing the forums to learn what I can about cats, their rigging, ideosyncrasies, etc. Unfortunately even in the answers there are a lot of terms and descriptions I don't understand. Hasn't anyone published a "Hobie Bible" that starts at the beginning and describes the rigging, procedures, etc, defines terms, describes the optional or upgrade equipment that can be added, etc. ? Any recomendations would be greatly apprecaiated.

It may not be specific to the Getaway, but Catamaran Sailing: From Start to Finish by Phil Berman was useful to me when I was trying to understand what cats were all about. And, for what it's worth, I LOVE my Getaway! It is stable, quick and can haul a lot of passengers, and I can handle it all myself when I want/need to.
