There is some discussion going on between me and one of the other new H-16 racers about weather or not there are any class rules on where you can stand/trap out on a H-16.

I thought you can basically trap out anywhere you wanted to. IE with your feet on the hulls instead of the cross bar's (On a broad reach in heavy air, I will usually trap out from the lower hulls, to give me better pitch control.

The other guy thinks you are only allowed to trap with your feet on the cross bars.

Are there any sections of the H-16 class rules that limmit where you or your crew can not trap from? I looked and could not find any.

Thanks

Trap restrictions?

None... There is no rule on where you have to trapeze from. Typically the side bar is best as it will tend to load up the wire more if you are more parallel to the water. If you try that from the rail, you will be swimming a lot.
