You can use a cut down shroud adjuster instead of the shackle at the bridle/forestay connection. That will give you something to attach the Telo-cat to.
Problem is, that the connection is so high, you'll get a stiff neck looking at it.
The solution a lot of racers use is a lightweight rod (aluminum / fiberglass / carbon) that's attached to the bridle at a more reasonable height. It provides the platform for a wind vane.

I use a custom modified Winddex at the bridle vertex (light air, upwind) combined with 8-track tape on the bridle at eye level (downwind, all wind speeds).
Most of the time upwind, I sail the boat by feel. Don't need no stinkin' wind vane.
