Hi. I'm a disabled sailor considering buying a Bravo but I'm wondering about a few aspects. I sailed a laser years ago but had problems righting it. Recently I've been crewing on a Topcat (similar to a Hobie 16) but would like to be sailing on my own again. If someone who's tried a Bravo could answer the following questions it would help....

1. Does it capsize easily?
2. Is it easy to right?
3. I'm suspicious of the 'fast and stable' bit.... Is it fast enough to be good fun?
4. Does it rig 'condom style' like a laser? Do you have to have it on its side to put the sail on?

Cheers,

Greg :)

Greg, I will forward your note to Jeff, our Sail Sand Point Board member for comment. See www.sailsandpoint.org. We had a Bravo in our program, but sold it to the University of Washington to add to their fleet of 6 Bravo's. Jeff has had a lot of experience sailing our Hobie Waves, and has skippered the Wave in our Fast and Fun, free sailing outreach programs.

Caleb Tarleton, Sail Sand Point.
