hi i have a hobie 14 that im making in to a tubo and i was on the internet and i noticed that a h14t had its rigging attached to the hull so do you have to do that if you are changing it to a turbo? and i have also noticed that when im sailing in heavy winds , the bar where the rigging is attached to bends a bit... is that normal?

The H14Turbo does not have a front spreader bar, where as, the H17Sport does. I've sailed my H17Sport in some pretty high winds (30+ knots) and have not seen any noticeable bending of the spreader bar.

harrison, if you are talking about where the shrouds attach (to the side rails of the trampoline frame), yes the rails will bend a little. That is normal. More important, if you converted a standard H14 to a turbo, is that you add a dolphin striker and tension cable to the front cross beam for added strength. The standard H14 doesn't have one. 8)
