I love to sail on Lake Mendota in Madison, WI

There are always tons of sailboats out and quite a few people have Hobies!!!

Also, that Lake is just big enough that you don't get bored just sailing around one little area!!

My friend Brain from Baraboo WI wants me to sail up there,it just seems so far away from warmer waters.........if you would like some crew,Brain would probably join you.He is hard core and wants to buy one of my 16's and learn to sail it up there and out of Milwaukee.Let me know if you would be interested in a new sailing buddy..............Bill 404 21 SE

I went up to Weko Beach in Bridgman MI for a week in July and had a blast on Lake Michigan. They have a good beach there and nice camp grounds.Where on Lake Michigan would you launch from?I had a buddy(Dale Robbison ?)years ago who sailed with me and he moved up to Milwaukee.I would like to visit him and see if he still has his 16...My friend Brain works at his grandmother apple orchard in Baraboo WI.,High View?If you get a change see if you can get him sailing with you.He would make great crew............Bill 404 21 SE

I usually launch either in door county, or in Racine where my uncle lives.... I actually live about 15 mins away from Baraboo... but the apple orchard I go to is Sky Hi!!

I think I got out for my last sail of the year yesterday... out on Lake Wisconsin... it was 60 degrees F... and the water was frigid... but the wind was great.... 15+ mph!!!!!
