Hi all

Spent some time with our local Hobie dealer today and installed the slip stream. No problems getting it on or off (except for a shin on the tow bar which is easily fixed). The only problem with transporting it cockpit up is that the slip stream uses pads not cradles and these don't sit easily and can cause a little bump (which comes out once the boat is off the rack). There's also a bit of fiddling getting it all in the right place first time round. Thanks Mal!

I have a two hour drive home from the dealer at speeds from 120 kph down to bumper to bumper and had absolutely no issues. It doesn't seem to affect the performance or fuel economy cockpit up or down.

So it's all good.

One other disadvantage of not storing the AI upside down is that the mast step fills with water and it needs to be flipped or flushed out and emptied (chamois are good)
