Been doing some sailing down here at Shallow Inlet. Perfect weather while I've been here. Had my sister turn up the other day with the 3 kids who have been dying to see the AI. They got their chance the other day when I took them all for a ride.

Pretty low tides here so I took them all out to the "island" sandbar out in the middle of the inlet so they could explore.

Here's a shot of my niece enjoying a ride on the tramps.

Took them sailing on the Mirror dinghy too yesterday. They don't have any sea legs yet and much preferred the nice stable AI. Here's Hene looking a tad more worried about tipping over than when she was on the AI's tramps.

Looks like I'll have to get a set of traps so I can carry passengers. Have fun and see you back on Sydney Harbour in the New Year.

Sensational day out today. Hot constant northerly wind and flat waters. Needed a bit of a reef in the sail to stop the AI rounding up into the wind.
Sitting in front of the tent as a thunderstorm pelts down beside me. Nice and cool after today's heat. Oh, and drinking a nice cold Fat Yak beer. :D
(better log off as the laptop is getting a bit of rain on it.)

Sounds great CGM. Altough I don't know about the 'Fat Yak' yet. It looks the same colour and has bubbles so I'm sure it's quite safe to drink. Keep us posted on you exploits, look forward to them. I'm off to Dunns Swamp on Monday for 3 days so I hope to get some good shots myself. Due to lack of space in the 4x4, I've decided to only kayak. So this time if I forget the daggerboard it's no great drama.

Whilst at Dunn Swamp, call in on Reg and Jenny Franks at Frank's Breakaway. It's between Olinda Rd and the Dunns Swamp park entrance. They have a fantastic camp site on the banks of the Cudgegong River about 2km down from the dam wall, as well as two neat farmstay cottages.

Great photos CGM! Sounds like you're having a great time. I've had some fantastic sailing here in the Gippsland Lakes recently myself. Those full width tramps sure look good

Been some good weather although kind of turned nasty for the moment. Wind has been a bit too strong for the tramps and I decided to just use spray shields.

And this is what I've been drinking after a hard days 'yakin...
