We had heard of Burrinjuck Waters, which is within an hour of where we now live, but had never been there before. Now that we had our Oasis we were looking for waterways to explore, it was time to discover
Burrinjuck Waters State Park. We went and we are definitely coming back.
All expectations were exceeded.
The week after we took possession of the Oasis, Hemmi and I launched it
near Good Hope which is on the upper reaches of the Murrumbidgee arm of Burrinjuck. The landscape there was predominantly rolling hills of farmland and the banks were slippery mud. At Burrinjuck Waters, the landscape is more mountainous and the lake is surrounded by vast expanses of native bushland. With steeper banks, the launch sites were sandy with water relatively clear (bottom visible at up to 1m).
