Not a competition entry, just a shot I would like to share taken on my third ever solo sailing trip on 25 Nov 09.

Camera is Sony DSC-P1 in underwater housing. This is Sony's original pocketable digital camera - only 3MP and 3x zoom, but good optics.

The package cost me $1300 in 2000.

Especially for Slaughter, My Ai 20 miles East of Portsmouth Harbour last month. Enjoying sailing here in the Northern Hemisphere.
I am keeping my fingers crossed to win with this one.

Definately a front runner syros. Only a real photographer knows how hard it is to take a photo of a AI so that the viewer can't even tell what colour it is.

Plenty of months left in the year yet mate.

I've got family out here at the moment from Soton. I just showed them this photo and they asked if you could let them know when it's warm enough to go back home.

I'm still hoping I'm in the running for that rudder-pin!

The competition is certainly hotting up. I had my 2nd entry ready to post but it's not a patch on these latest shots from SedonaAI and Astro.

Hey Matt, what's the chances of Hobie selecting a winner at the end of the year and donating a prize. Perhaps they can use some entries for promotional purposes.

It could be a cheap deal for them. If you make Bob the winner, all he wants is a rudder pin.

Well it wont be mine since Hobie cant use photos of modded AI's or ppl say, "I want one with the pretty Red rope Barber Hauler like the photo on your website!" oops..
Ahem, Hobie also like to use photos of young, attractive ppl, cough..

Year before last Mal from Sunstate Hobie at Lake macDonald North of Brisbane had a Sailing/Fishing comp for Hobie Kayaks and gave away a new Revo.

It's hard to compete against your last effort Astro. You scared them all off.

I still have 2 left up my sleeve though, and the rest of the year to take them. Patience there young Astro. I'm guessing you are young. Owning either a hot red or a flashy Dune, the mention of porn, premature entries.

It reminds me of the old wise bull and his impatient son standing on the top of a hill looking down on the herd of cows.
The young bull says "Hey Dad lets race down the hill and make love to one of the cows"
The old wise bull says " No son, lets walk down and make love to all of them"

Stuffed if I know what it has to do with AI's but there is a lesson there somewhere young Astro.

young is not a word i would use or for that matter anyone would use to describe me...should have read the instructions properly, didn't realise we have the whole year for entries...
