Hello, My wife and I are just about to purchase an i14T, (with sailing pack) we think it will be the perfect water craft for us off the West Australian coast.

I have one concern and that is how can i be sure i am buying the latest model? Do i just have to check the drive is a V2? I was reading a posting of someone who thought he'd bought an old model, although the info said it was released in April '09.

Maybe I'm being paranoid, but we are dinghy sailors looking for something a little different and have to travel 150 kms to pick it up?

Any help will be welcomed.

Many thanks

BumbleBee
(ps, if there are any other Hobie kayakers in south west WA would be glad to hear from you).

Just to add to the prev post, I have sussed out the drives etc and happy I'm buying the latest model!

Tried the mirage drive in water for the first time recently and wow, so easy and so fast, the boat really speeds along.
