Has anyone come across gun mounts for the Pro Angler hand rails? The mounts Hobie sells are too small for the rail.

Now thats no way to fish TDK!
Seriously, the only other mounts I've seen were through Austin Kayak and Cabela's. You may end up having to mount something on your rail and then mount the racks to it. A mount mount as it were. Good luck!

We tried those, Matt, but the u-bolt doesn't fit around the grab bar on the Pro Angler. Is there a version in the works that would work on the larger PA bars?

Thanks!!

Hummm... I was pretty sure our guys used these on the Pro A rails. I'll have to have them look again. Maybe something has changed.

Hi Matt,

It's taken me awhile, but I'm finally registered. My brother, TDK, has been asking questions about the gun mount for me. He's a good bro.

I tried the gun mount on my PA. The problem was the u-bolts and opposing clamp included in the hardware kit. The u-bolts were to narrow to fit around the rail. It's the right system, but eh wrong size. I took it back to our dealer, Back Yard Boats, and they verified that the bolt would not fit around the rail.

I tried those rail mounts that Austin Canoe and Kayak have and they are Scotty rail mounts. Unfortunately they are too small for the Pro Anger rails. I had to go a different direction..........but then I wasn't going to mount a gun.......just a fish finder and gps.

Matt- any verdict on the gun mounts for the PA? It's something I plan on adding to my PA this fall for duck season. Just wondering.....

Answer... These were pre-Pro Angler, so the "U" bolt was not specific for Pro A use. It is a system used by ATVs. There is not currently a "U" bolt version for use on the Pro A rails. Vince suggests drilling thru the rail for mounting.

Hey Guys, I too am interested in gun holders for the Pro Angler. I was at my local powersports dealer last night and came across these http://www.kolpinpowersports.com/produc ... l?vmcchk=1

I am positive that they will fit on a PA bar. I haven't taken delivery of mine yet so I can't try them out. They definitely hold securely.
