Our fiberglass boats are manufactured using a layer of foam core between an inner and outer layer of hand-laid fiberglass. This process results in a very light, but extremely strong, rigid hull. In general, a lighter, more rigid hull equates to a faster, more high-performance boat.

Hobie Cat has been using this style of fiberglass manufacturing since 1968. Though materials and methods have been refined over the years, this process has proven to be an economic way to produce fast, durable hulls.
