August was a busy moth for the Hobie sailors around the world. Fiji had the Hobie Cat 16 BSP Oceania Championship and the Total Fiji Hobie Challenge. September doesn’t look like slowing down with Hobie racing.
Dave Jaskiewicz, of Wando, South Carolina, measured a combined limit of 49.13 inches to win the first regular-season event for the Atlantic Division of the IFA Kayak Fishing Tour presented by Hobie Fishing on May 3 at Georgetown, South Carolina. The angler took home $2,250 and a Power-Pole Micro Anchor for his first-place finish.
The Hobie MultiWorlds and Hobie 16 Europeans was a spectacular success in terms of numbers of competitors and sailing conditions. In every series there was a variety of conditions ensuring it was a challenge for the sailors in all conditions. Thank you to all the sailors for attending the events.
